The issue of professional equality between women and men is a major challenge that must be addressed within higher education and research organizations. Indeed, higher education and research remain marked by an imbalance between women and men.
That’s why the Professional Equality Plan was initiated in 2021 by Inserm. Although the field of biology and health is attractive to women, their proportion generally decreases as one moves up the hierarchy.
However, it is important to note that this is not the case within our research unit. In the 2017-2024 mandate, 4/9 of the team leaders were women. In the next mandate, 5/12 of the team leaders will be women.
In January 2023, we formed a Professional Equality Plan committee within the LVTS. You will find below a lot of information and the actions carried out by this committee, as well as various news concerning this topic.
