Dominique Le Guludec appointed head of the Haute Autorité de Santé

  

Dominique Le Guludec, Professor of Biophysics and Nuclear Medicine at the UFR of Medicine at Paris Diderot University, Director of the Department of Nuclear Medicine and Biophysics at Bichat Hospital – Claude Bernard, APHP and Head of the Imaging Team Cardiovascular in the Translational Vascular Research Laboratory, has just been appointed head of the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS).

Dominique Le Guludec is a cardiologist and professor in biophysics and nuclear medicine. Head of the nuclear medicine department of the Bichat-Claude Bernard Hospital, APHP since 1993, she led the medical imaging division between 2006 and 2011. University professor – hospital practitioner (PU-PH) she was responsible for teaching of biophysics at the Paris Diderot School of Medicine from 1994 to 2011, of the heart-lung imaging module within the National Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN) and co-head of an EU Biomedical Imaging Master at the Sorbonne Paris City. Her clinical and basic research focuses on the applications of nuclear medicine in cardiology, and in particular on the development of novel molecular imaging tracers.

In parallel with her clinical activity, she has assumed responsibilities in the public assistance – hospitals of Paris (AP-HP): member of the committee for evaluation and dissemination of technological innovation (CEDIT), president since 2016 of the medical commission of establishment of the group of the university hospitals of Paris Nord Val de Seine.

From 2013 to 2017 she served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN).

She was appointed on December 4, 2017 President of the HAS to replace Professor Agnes Buzyn appointed Minister of Solidarity and Health. She maintains a nuclear medicine consulting activity at Bichat Hospital.
